Per a separate announcement from Skippy, the recalled products were distributed to retailers in the following 18 states: California, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Hawaii, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Missouri, North Carolina, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Oklahoma, and Wisconsin. A list of the recalled products is below. Consumers can find the “Best if Used By” date on top of the lid.

No other sizes or varieties of Skippy peanut butter are included in this recall. The recall was issued out of an abundance of caution after internal detection systems at one of Skippy Foods’ manufacturing facilities identified the issue. Per the FDA, there have been no consumer complaints associated with this recall to date, and all retailers that received the affected product have been notified. However, if a consumer has any of the above recalled products, they should either return it to their retailer for an exchange, or throw it away.
